Trauma Basics Course
In critical moments, seconds count. This fast-paced, hands-on course equips everyday citizens, first responders, hunters, shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts with the lifesaving skills needed to control severe bleeding and manage basic trauma until professional help arrives.
Designed around the nationally recognized Stop the Bleed curriculum and enhanced with real-world tactical medicine principles, you’ll learn proven techniques that have saved countless lives in mass shootings, accidents, and remote environments.
What You’ll Learn
- Rapid recognition of life-threatening external hemorrhage
- Proper application of direct pressure, wound packing, and hemostatic agents
- Correct selection and use of commercial and improvised tourniquets (with multiple practice stations)
- Basic airway management and positioning for unconscious casualties
- Treatment of tension pneumothorax using chest seals
- Hypothermia prevention and shock recognition
- How to build and carry an effective individual first-aid kit (IFAK) for home, range, or vehicle
Course Format
- 100% hands-on with high-fidelity mannequins, simulated wounds, and real medical gear
- Small class size for personalized instruction and immediate feedback
- No prior medical experience required—perfect for beginners and seasoned shooters alike
Details
- Location: Element Training Complex, Holt, Florida
- Duration: 8 hours (0900–1700, includes short breaks)
- Gear Provided: All tourniquets, pressure dressings, chest seals, and training aids
- What to Bring: Note-taking materials (provided) and weather-appropriate clothing; snacks, water, and any lunch items.
Leave with a Stop the Bleed certificate, the confidence to act decisively in an emergency, and the knowledge that you can make a real difference when seconds matter most.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 8 or more days prior to the course start date: Full refund (100%) minus any processing fees.
- Cancellations made 4–7 days prior to the course start date: 75% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 4 days (96 hours) prior to the course start date: 50% refund.
- No-shows or cancellations on the day of the course: No refund.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
